Nozomi Networks, a leader in operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems (CPS) security, has taken a major step to strengthen its presence in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) market by establishing its regional headquarters in Singapore. The strategic move, announced in January 2026, reaffirms the cybersecurity firm’s commitment to supporting critical infrastructure operators and industrial organisations across a region that is seeing surging demand for robust cyber-defence solutions.
Singapore was chosen for its strategic geographic location, world-class infrastructure, and highly skilled workforce — all seen as key enablers for Nozomi to accelerate innovation and provide enhanced local support. In addition, the city-state’s proactive regulatory environment and dedication to strengthening critical infrastructure security align closely with Nozomi’s mission and long-term objectives.
A central pillar of this expansion is collaboration with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA). Nozomi Networks will lend technical expertise, industry insights, and best practices to support the implementation of the nation’s Operational Technology Cybersecurity Masterplan 2024. This partnership underscores both parties’ shared vision for a secure and resilient cyber-physical ecosystem that protects vital services and national assets.
Nozomi’s new APJ headquarters will act as a regional hub for business operations and customer engagement. The initial core team comprises regional leadership, sales and marketing professionals, technical support staff, partner management, and customer success teams. The company plans to expand the workforce in line with business growth and market demand, ensuring enhanced service delivery across APJ.
This expansion is occurring in the backdrop of Nozomi’s recent acquisition by Japanese industrial conglomerate Mitsubishi Electric, in a deal valued at close to USD 1 billion — reportedly the largest acquisition in the operational technology security space to date. As part of this transition, Nozomi will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary while continuing to serve customers independently.
Industry veteran David Hope, based in Singapore, has been appointed as the Asia Pacific and Japan regional vice president. Hope brings extensive experience in technology leadership and regional market growth — positioning him well to guide Nozomi’s APJ strategy as regulatory requirements and customer expectations evolve.
Demand for industrial cybersecurity solutions in APJ is being driven by a combination of regulatory frameworks, growing awareness of cybersecurity threats to OT environments, and organisations’ increasing investments in safeguarding their infrastructure. Regions across Asia Pacific have introduced standards and compliance mandates aimed at bolstering cyber resilience, making localised expertise and engagement critical for long-term success.
In addition to market expansion, the Singapore headquarters will enhance Nozomi’s partner ecosystem across APJ. The firm already collaborates with a range of specialist partners to deliver tailored security solutions, and this investment will help deepen those relationships and facilitate broader adoption of its technologies.
By choosing Singapore as its APJ base, Nozomi Networks is ideally positioned to support the region’s evolving cybersecurity needs — from industrial control systems to IoT environments, enabling organisations to manage risk, ensure operational continuity, and build cyber-resilient infrastructure for the future.
